Mindrolling Monastery, located in Clement Town, is one of the largest Buddhist centers in India. Built in 1965 by Tibetan monks, the monastery is famous for its 60-meter tall stupa, magnificent wall paintings depicting the life of Buddha, and beautifully landscaped gardens. The monastery complex also houses a 35-meter high golden statue of Lord Buddha, making it a peaceful retreat for meditation, spirituality, and photography.

The monastery can be visited throughout the year. However, the period between October and April is most pleasant for sightseeing.
