Beyond the general appeal of Mussoorie as a hill station, a handful of specific spots make up most visitors' itineraries — here's what's actually worth your time.

Mall Road and Camel's Back Road

Mall Road is Mussoorie's central promenade, lined with shops, cafés, and viewpoints, best experienced in the evening when it's liveliest. Camel's Back Road offers a quieter, roughly 3 km walking route with excellent valley views, less crowded than the Mall itself.

Gun Hill

Mussoorie's second-highest point, reachable by a short cable car ride or a walking trail, offers sweeping Himalayan views on clear days — one of the best sunset spots in town.

Kempty Falls

A popular waterfall about 15 km from the main town, Kempty Falls draws large crowds, particularly on weekends, for its pools suited to bathing beneath the falls — arrive early to avoid the busiest midday period.

Lal Tibba

The highest point in Mussoorie, Lal Tibba offers telescope viewing of the wider Himalayan range on clear days, including glimpses of peaks well beyond what's visible from the town centre.

Company Garden and Municipal Garden

A landscaped garden with a small lake and light activities, better suited to a relaxed family visit than a must-see landmark, but a pleasant break if you have extra time.

Planning Your Visit

Most of these spots fit comfortably into 1-2 days. Combine Mall Road and Gun Hill on one outing, and Kempty Falls with Camel's Back Road on another, to avoid excessive backtracking through the town's narrow roads.
